2026 Camp Refund & Transfer Policies
The Sheridan County Y will issue a partial refund for camp cancellations that are made at least two weeks before the camp start date. The Y will retain 50% of the fee. The remaining cost for registration will be refunded. No refund will be issued for a cancellation within two weeks of the camp start date. Transfers between camps will not be permitted.

THEATER CAMP I: (Teacher: Amber Steier) This camp is for students that are new to theater. Campers will learn about developing stage presence, vocal projection, character development, stage blocking, and audition skills. Through theater games and skits, campers will gain valuable artistic experience while making many new connections. To end the camp, campers will learn and perform a short production at the WYO Theater on Friday, times TBD. Limited to 25 campers. Drop and pick up at the YMCA Youth Center.
THEATER CAMP II: (Teacher: TBD) Combining music and performance into a theatrical experience will have campers moving and singing all week. Enjoy the opportunity to experience some of the most memorable musical selections from a variety of shows. Grow in your musicianship and confidence. A performance is scheduled at the WYO Theater on Friday at 2:00pm. Limited to 30 campers. Drop off and pick up at the YMCA Youth Center.

Youth artists will have the opportunity to find, identify, and collect seeds, leaves, grasses, vines, and other natural materials. We’ll explore how seeds are different, observe how leaves have varied shapes and what roles they play in the community. We will then head back to the studio at SAGE and create a variety of projects that may include printing, weaving, collage or painting. We’ll have art fun outside and inside! Join us for an International Soccer Camp without leaving your area! Coached by our team of international and US-based staff, our week-long half day and full day soccer camps improve your child’s soccer skills whilst providing a unique cultural experience. Rooted in British training methodology, these camps introduce our international training tactics to campers across the U.S and Canada. Our curriculum and coaching foundation meets engaging delivery for an all-around positive experience. We channel our energy and passion for the game into a fun yet developmental environment. As industry experts, we have crafted an approach which uses methodologies from all around the world to truly reflect the global nature of the sport today. We use age appropriate practices to help players develop at their own pace, learn brand new skills and become an all-round better player…while having an amazing time with our international coaching staff! Includes an educational approach that uses soccer to teach the core values of responsibility, integrity. respect, sportsmanship and leadership. Most camps will include a free soccer ball, jersey and certificate, as well as other early registration incentives. Please note that there will be a $10 late fee at most of our camp sites for campers registering within 10 days of the camp start date. The Healthy Body, Mind & Spirit Camp is a five-day experience designed to help young athletes build strong habits for life—both on and off the field. This camp blends sports, fitness, nutrition education, and leadership development into a fun and engaging environment where campers will learn how to take care of their bodies, support their teammates, and grow in confidence.
Throughout the week, campers will explore the fundamentals of sports nutrition, body-weight fitness, teamwork, and leadership while participating in a variety of team sports and interactive activities. Each day includes a mix of hands-on learning, movement, and reflection designed to help participants understand how healthy choices impact their performance, energy, and overall well-being.

YMCA Youth Basketball Camp is a five-day training experience designed to help young athletes build strong basketball fundamentals, improve confidence, and grow their understanding of the game. This camp focuses on intentional skill development, repetition, and game application, making it a great opportunity for players who want to improve their overall basketball ability. Participants will be grouped by age (8–11 and 12–14) to ensure instruction is age-appropriate and developmentally challenging. Throughout the week, players will work through progressive skill sessions that build from individual fundamentals to game situations and team play. Each day will include skill instruction, drill work, competitive challenges, and guided gameplay so athletes can immediately apply the techniques they are learning.

This 4-day Youth Lacrosse Camp is designed for Kindergarten through 5th grade players who want to learn the fundamentals of one of the fastest-growing sports in the country. Whether a child is completely new to the game or has played a little before, this camp focuses on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and a love for lacrosse in a fun and supportive environment.
Throughout the week, campers will be introduced to the core skills of lacrosse, including cradling, passing, catching, ground balls, shooting, and movement without the ball. Coaches will break each skill down into simple, age-appropriate progressions so every player can learn at their own pace.
Each session will include skill instruction, small drills, and game-based activities that help players apply what they’ve learned in a fun and engaging way. As the week progresses, campers will build on their skills and begin incorporating team concepts and small-sided play.

This 4-Day Girls Volleyball Skills Camp is designed for 2026-2027 4th, 5th, and 6th grade athletes who want to learn the game and improve their volleyball fundamentals in a positive and encouraging environment. Whether players are new to volleyball or looking to build on their current abilities, this camp focuses on developing strong foundational skills while helping girls grow in confidence and teamwork.
Throughout the week, campers will receive instruction in the core skills of volleyball including serving, passing, setting, hitting, and court movement. Coaches will use a variety of fun drills, small-group instruction, and skill progressions to help each player improve their technique and understanding of the game.
The camp will include dedicated skill development sessions, small-sided games and controlled scrimmages where players can apply what they’ve learned, while keeping the experience fun and engaging.
