BASKETBALL

Ages:  grades 2-5, co-ed; grade 6 boys’ & girls’ teams
Session:  October—Decemberbasketball illus

Rimbusters    grades K-1; session runs in January.

 

 

Itty-Bitty Basketball  ages 4-5; session runs January—February.

Young children will learn the fundamental skills of basketball as they practice shooting, passing and dribbling. They will rotate throught stations, relays, game playing and scrimmages. In a positive environment; with some interactive participation from parents.

 

 

 

 

SOCCER

The world’s largest sport is offered at the Y in the Spring and Fall. This sport teachsoccer illuses kids to play as a team, passing back and forth, and scoring.

 

Ages: grades 1-5 (boys and girls teams by grade); grades 6-8 (co-ed teams)

Session: Fall (September—October); Spring (March—May)

 

Little Kickers    Kindergarten; session runs in March-May.

 

Itty-Bitty Soccer  ages 4-5; session runs June-July.

VOLLEYBALL 

 

Ages: grades 4-6 (boys and girls teams)

PARENT-YOUTH PRIVATE INSTRUCTION 

 

Designed to offer youth grades 5-8 the opportunity to train with a parent, this program introduces the weight-stack strength machines and aerobic equipment to kids. Appropriate behavior, weight room guidelines and proper execution of exercises are taught. A parent must accompany the child to the instructions and also train with them in the weight room.

 

 

 


 

TAEKWON-DO (I.T.F. — U.S.T.F.

ages 6 years to adult

 

More than just self-defense!  Gain confidence and empower yourself to make positive life choices through character development from individual and team competition using techniques of bare hands and feet.  Engage the spirit, mind and body through observance of the 5 tenets of courtesy integrity, perseverance, self-control and indomitable spirit.
