The “Give Your Heart to a Child” Campaign is the Friends of the Y's way to raise money for the YMCA through charitable donations.  Campaign contributions make possible the YMCA's policy of never turning a child, an individual or a family away because of financial need.  Proceeds from this fund-raising program ensure financial assistance to people in need of such support and program subsidy.

Primary Goals of the “Give Your Heart to a Child” Campaign:

To tell the YMCA story --- regarding all of its diverse programs, community partnerships and about the lives touched by that programming --- to YMCA members, supporters, and the community and to seek comments and feedback of community needs and how the YMCA can help.

To help provide important financial assistance to the YMCA organization, which in turn helps to provide the necessary funds required to sustain and enhance youth and family programs for the YMCA of Sheridan.

Money invested in the YMCA enhances and sustains it.  YMCA programs provide constructive outlets for youthful energy during leisure hours, strengthen family ties and enrich the lives of and utilize the skills of individuals in our community.  The Sheridan Y recognizes the value of spiritual beliefs and provides opportunities for the application of these beliefs and principles.

A financial contribution to the “Give Your Heart to a Child” Campaign gives one the satisfaction and reward of providing an important YMCA experience for youth, family members and seniors.
