Swim School Ages 3 & Up

The goals of the Sheridan County YMCA Swim School are:
  1. Make as many kids as possible, water safe.
  2. Promote swimming, in all its forms and support the growth of the sport in our community.
  3. Remove the barriers that prevent people from enjoying swimming for fitness and recreation.
We strive to achieve these goals by offering a simple, high-quality learn-to-swim program designed to teach people to swim (correctly) in a short period of time. Our program utilizes scientifically-proven, time-tested teaching progressions.  All of our instructors receive training on a periodic, on-going basis.  If your child has never participated in a YMCA swim lesson, the instructor will place them in the appropriate level depending on age and skill level.

Sessions will be Monday through Thursday for three weeks and held at the following times:
  • 10:15-10:45AM (Monday & Wednesday only)
  • 4:00-4:30 PM
  • 4:35-5:05 PM
  • 5:10-5:40 PM
