The Sheridan
County YMCA
recently implemented an all-new learn-to-swim program. Our new “Swim School”
has been designed with the following goals in mind:
- Make as many kids as possible, water safe.
- Promote swimming, in all its
forms, and support the growth of the sport in our community.
- Remove the barriers that
prevent people from enjoying swimming for fitness and recreation.
We strive to achieve these goals by offering a
simple, high-quality learn-to-swim program designed to teach people to swim
(correctly) in a short period of time.
Our program utilizes scientifically-proven, time-tested teaching
progressions. All of our instructors
receive training on a periodic, on-going basis.
Note: The new sessions will be Monday through Thursday
for three weeks and held at the following times:
- 10:15-10:45AM
- 2:00-2:30 PM
- 2:35-3:05 PM
- 4:00-4:30 PM
- 4:35-5:05 PM
- 5:10-5:40 PM
The session schedule for the year is available as a downloadable PDF.The YMCA also is offering SWIM CAMP for advanced swimmers over 5 years,
Private Swim Lessons, and Masters Swimming for 18 and over. Call Russ Eidman or
the front desk for more information. |
